Anyone else watched Shtisel?! Sooo funny.
Hi Everyone !!!
This June I completed my 9 months at Career Level 12 and Sub Level 3 I.e, CL 12.3 at Accenture Operations. My Annual Talent Discussion and One-on-One with People Lead is complete as of last week.
I have 3 questions now :
1. When can I expect to move to 12.2 ?
2. What is the general hike I can expect ? And when it is reflected ?
3. When will be the variable pay will be paid out ?
Can anyone here help me with this performance cycle part ? I am really confused.

Signs someone is not cut out for this industry?
Destiny 2 anyone?

I currently work at GS in a back office role, and can attest that pay does not compare to front office roles like IB. You’d expect hours wouldn’t be as bad given the pay disparity between front vs. back office. But having worked previously in public accounting, I’d say the hours are comparable to that (like 50-60 hour work weeks) about 75% of the time. Bonuses are decent, last year’s bonus for me was 11-12% of salary but since I joined during the year they prorated that. I don’t recall what the bonus max percentage is but I think it’s up to 15 or 25 percent? Not sure on that.
Why am I still here? A few things: insurance and upcoming bonus. My personal situation requires of certain services that are usually a pain in the rear when dealing with insurance but thankfully that service for me is covered and I just do co-pay, which is better than nothing and nothing compared to what I would pay if there was a deductible for that. It is truly a shame decent insurance at a decent price here in the US is tied to your job. It shouldn’t be that way but that’s an entire different discussion. And in terms of the bonus, planning on cashing in on this years bonus in a few months from now. My thought process here is that I put in the effort the entire year here for that and wouldn’t want to “squander” that, per se.
Having said all that, there is hesitancy on my part to partake in job hunting given how unusual it would seem to ask right off the bat what insurance these prospective employees offer and if decent options available, the thought of having to go through insurance approval for this service I need, all over again. I would have to be put on a waitlist for this service for the potential lapse in insurance coverage, etc. Can you imagine all the potential headaches just because of a simple job switch? Hence my hesitancy.
If anyone has any questions feel free to DM.
Thank you so much! This is so insightful. :)

GS doesn't actually pay all that well for these back office roles but rest assured the hours are still terrible.
Thanks for sharing! I thought IB hours for these back office positions are slightly better. Do you know about GS bonus?
I’m interested in hearing this one too. What’s the salary at Goldman vs ey? Just wondering
Coach
Had an initial call with them when I was an S2, based in NYC. They said they couldn't pay more than 95k, which was about the same as I was earning at EY at that time.
Usually banks and FS pay well but Goldman is remarkably stingy with pay.
