Hello All, I have one question. I was a fresher and joined one organization as external employee with third party payroll. I worked as external payroll for 1 year then I became permanent employee of organization was working. When i was a fresher my salary was below tax slab so my external exployer did not generate any form 16 for me. When tried to switch my new organization wants me to submit form 16 as BGC process. By exploiting the pay-range for a position, this will give everyone that fighting chance of never under selling themselves. Those who learn they did, the legal clause allows them for an appeal. It’s time we get what we deserve for the hard work we provide and not feel taken advantage of. An annual pay increase of: 3-5% while applying for the same-job: increase pay: 20-35% ridiculous. 😒

Would this affect companies headquartered outside of CA, but have a remote team in CA?
Great question, here’s what I found from multiple news sites; If the job posting is for a position “within California state” the pay has to be disclosed or given upon request. If it’s outside the state then it’s up to their discretion. The team involved in this law clearly has concrete thinking skills or purposely did this for loopholes 🙄
