ZS were willing to offer me FTE as ZS but at a compensation of meagre 8.5 Lakhs. I tried negotiating but they sticked with this.

How come ZS do that? Why can't they pay more as they generally pay 15+ for 4.5 years experience.

My wife works at a school with kids with behavioral issues. The kids are abusive to the teachers/paras and have hit, kicked, pulled hair, as well as have grabbed the privates of teachers/paras. Nothing is ever done about it by higher up. Recently, the principal got kicked in the leg, and it turns out that the superintendent is “pressing charges” against the kid, but won’t do anything for the teachers/paras. What actions can my wife and the teachers take if the superintendent won't do anything?

Baby furniture. What is everyone doing? FTM and trying to figure out if it’s worth investing in very expensive nursery furniture. We were looking at the Natart furniture collection and the Silva collections. These both come in at about $2000-$2400. The furniture is high quality and grows with the child. Alternatively I could go the lower end route at get everything for like $800. Is that wise? I hear horror stories about low quality and paint chipping from the baby teething on the crib.

Wondering if I should look into anxiety meds (or if I’m just a baby and need to get used to this life).

My parent has a star health policy for which the renewal premium is drastically increasing (almost by 50%) every year at age 51.
With such increase I do not think it will be viable for long term. So planning to switch/port.

Wife is 35 weeks pregnant and recently tested positive for Covid. Symptoms are mild to moderate. Doctor’s say no impact to baby if symptoms continue to remain under control. Any parents who are still on the safe side with Covid? We have a 1 year old and being safe and staying mostly home is really getting to me. Most of our friends have kids who are able to mask up or are vaccinated and it’s getting quite isolating. Especially now mask mandates are being lifted feeling like we can’t go anywhere without risking our kid.

With timing of our performance conversations I would have to inform I’m pregnant before outcomes - then shortly after the promotion effective date I would go on a leave for due date.
