Hi fishes,
I am planning a switch so was going through some salary data for a software engineer. My ex-senior manager recommended me a website: Growceed.com which helped me a lot in getting clarification about a lot of things but I am in doubt whether the average salaries of software engineer mentioned on Growceed.com really that much in top MNC companies.
Hi All,
Looking to make the move from working in industry to big4 and was curious as to what level and pay I might be worth?
I have 10 years experience out of uni, as well as completed CPA and MBA. I have a experience in managing entire finance function of small/medium entities, but most notably solid corporate finance experience/strategy leading refinance exercises, debt raising, hedging/treasury strategy etc…Would be looking for something in deal advisory / M&A / CFO advisory etc….thanks Deloitte EY PwC @
UBS If I had to move within the company to a different location , how does it work? For example if I move from low cost of living area to high cost of living area does the company re-evaluate the base salary within USA? Or do they come back and mention its your family requirement since your partner is located and you are moving ?Suggestions or experiences any !

I’m only M level but I got base from 150 to 160 by just asking. All the bonus comp is pretty standardized. I’d prioritize negotiating the base, could ask for 250 and they might match or meet at 240.
Okay got it. Thank you for that info I really appreciate it!
Update: got an update to my offer with a higher signing bonus.
Year 1 signing bonus: 50 k
Year 2: 40k
This is to offset any potential decrease in comp that may come because of lack of a signing bonus competent in year 2. I’m pretty happy with this overall offer
Are they going to give you year 2 upfront or it’s at a certain date in 2024?
Damn, take me
Low ball offer.. EM exits are 330-400K all in (minus sign on)
McK as someone formerly in your situation it is very hard as an external hire to get above meets expectations your first year or two
EM1: are you seeing 330-400k all in offers in market now? Feels like that was couple months ago. We are in different market now
What industries are you seeing 300-400 TC offers in? It’s very industry dependent.
What level at M are you now?
What is the Director band? Do you have much runway left or near the cap?
Assuming you’re an EM, it’s a good offer. Director of what?
What level are you at right now?
What’s the location? My spouse was EM and got offer for Sr Mgr Data Science in NYC with almost same numbers so I assume it can go higher?
DS is higher than BA and NYC higher than DC bands so that makes sense
You could probably get a higher signing bonus
