I recently joined TCS but I was moved into very different project which was told during hiring. Also they told me for joining incentive but later after 65 days of joining they didn't give saying your business aproval got rejected. I really want to be with TCS but due to project dissatisfaction, I am looking for different job. I am not sure if I can leave the organisation soo soon(4 months) and it should not effect my carrier.

Don’t take a demotion.
Being a lateral is really frustrating. You’ll likely give it your best shot but not make the next promotion. So two years from now you’ll be likely be leaving MBB at the consultant level at the same time your peers at your old firm are getting promoted to Principal/ Director / whatever they call the level above manager.
Not worth it. Better to lateral move for another T2
Do you mean better to move to another T2 to a manager role vs. Going back to consultant lvls at MBB?

Why?
I just made manager this July and 2/3 MBB recruiters said I can’t lateral; I’d have to take a demotion. I know people who truly lateraled after >6 months at manager last year, but MBB was hurting for bodies last year. If the title matters to you, you’ll hurt your ego taking a “demotion”

You’d be last on the chopping block. MBB doesn’t really out people until you’ve had 12 months to perform at the level.
