Thinking about leaving my position at Red Ventures as a Software Engineer, for an internship at AWS with potential to be hired full time. Right now I’m making 75-90k a year at RV but from what I hear at Amazon Web Services I could be making double. But I worry about the burn out at FAANG companies. Opinions? I feel my salary is pretty low for what I do.
What will be in hand salary.???

First ask how you’re preforming. If they say your killing it, say your pay isn’t. Literally say I took a pay cut and ask if at mid year or YE you can be considered for a pay adjustment.
Tbh though most firms have a cohort model or band structure until you get into sales roles so beside being at the top of that band or cohort you might want to jump back to industry if your not getting paid enough. Esp if that’s an issue
Are you now M ? How does it show you are principal?
Anyway: I have several questions before I can really provide tips. Here’s a generic framework:
Start with a heart on what you want for yourself, what do you want your partner to do, how do you want to sustain the relationship.
My firm has M as Principal. And senior manager as Managing principal. I was told when hired that I prob should have been MP but because came from industry and didn’t have direct consulting experience was brought in one level lower @m or p as my firm calls it.
Thanks in advance for the advice fish
