I’m an L6 SDM at Amazon but a Meta recruiter sent me an M2 sdm job description. I have all the XP I need from previous job experience but does Meta keep your same level as Amazon? Meaning if I am an L6 at Amazon am I automatically interviewing at M1 or can I jump to an M2?Amazon Facebook (Meta)

What are your YOE? Regardless that I think you are underpaid
I agree. The culture is amazing but I’m working non stop for a below average salary 🤦🏽♀️. I have to put myself first. Thank you guys.
I’d think that 75-90k with less than a year’s worth of experience is pretty good pay. I’m not sure if you’ll make much more than that at Amazon. Especially as an intern.

Reminder that interning at a company doesn't automatically mean you're getting a return offer. That being said, AWS does look like it is hiring a lot of people so it is possible you would get a return offer if you do well.
Regarding the pay for the internship, all big tech companies have a premium pay for their interns (especially Software Engineers). Their hourly internship pay is more than a person's full-time hourly pay at a regular company.
I've had friends intern at companies like Amazon, Meta, etc (during college though) but not everyone gets a return offer so it still has some risk especially if you're currently leaving a full-time position.
Just keep in mind that it's not a guarantee that Amazon will offer you a full-time position after you finish your internship even if you did really well. I know someone who is pretty smart and did well in their Amazon internship, but didn't get the full-time offer.
Also if you learn AWS and possibly get the certification, then I'm pretty sure Amazon will reach out to you on LinkedIn for a full-time opportunity. They are expanding like crazy and I've been contacted by so many recruiters from Amazon lately asking to join their company (I don't want to due to their interview process).
Speaking from someone who worked at two of the FAANGs and works with people at all the FAANGs, you will not burnout. In fact, those companies often treat their employees top notch, not jsut in pay but in terms of benefits and resources. Ahhh, I need to get certified then to increase my chances. & yeah, their interview process is something else 😅. I have my final ones next Friday
