my base salary has climbed $30k in 2.5 years and I will get another base jump this upcoming May (at the 3 year mark). Add bonuses in and I’ve gained about 40-50% in TC.
I do think jumping jobs can accelerate earnings more quickly, and I think tech pays more too. But I have definitely felt rewarded for my efforts in consulting.
215 to 363 in 3 years. Same firm.

73k last year, currently 100k
65k to 195k over five years, two promotions and a 20% raise
Took me about 8 years for that
$75k to $250k in 5 years
60k to 120k in 3 years, two job changes.
+50k this year switching firms, down leveled no less
Went to MBB?
Mine went up $55k this year!
135k base to 220k base in 6 years, same company
If you join MBB out of undergrad you will go from 100Kish as a first year to 300Kish as a PL EM
94k -> 120k -> 170k base in under a year
$40k in 6 months this year
Went from 125k to 210k in 3 years. 150 to 175 to 210 in the last 10 months
Went from 89k to 150k in a year at the same firm
I went from $100 > $165k in 4 years so spot on
45k in 2015 - 225k TC in 2021. So about 180k in 6 years.
$55k (raises + promo) in 4 years.
Base went from 87k (mid 2018) -> 150k (current). 3.5 years

Started out at 70k base no bonus in big 4 in 2017. Currently at 175k base and 240k TC as of 2021. +170k TC in 4 years but made two jumps.
I’ve been at ACN 2.5 years and up $70k. Still underpaid compared to big 4, and 70k below my max yearly income but much happier now.
That’s very rare..
Mine went up $125k in 4 years. However if you don't count the first two years I spent in an MBA program, it went up $170k in 2 years.
