PwC India Hi Folks, I left my stable job at Deloitte USI and moved to Germany for a better job. But my mom had a major health issue and I'm planning to travel back to India to support her as I'm a single child. I'm working in one of the top organisation in Germany with a base of 90k euro and looking for good opportunities in India. Just stay at home and watch moana, thank me later, Disney parks are a shit show
Agree M1 go to Toys R Us. Buy every Disney Toy you see. You’ll still save $10k. Take them when they can drink their way through Epcot with you
Stay on property, forget your points this time, get magic bands for your ppl, download My Disney Experience, use fast pass - if your kids are not school age you have more options for less crowded times
The swan and dolphin hotels at Disney world are SPG and affiliated with Disney so you can use points or earn points and get all the perks of staying at a Disney property
A1 yes Epcot!
3 adults, 2 kids. Not a personal fan of heat or crowdedness. I know Disney World is bigger and supposed to be better, but indifferent unless flight prices say otherwise. Leaving out of NYC. And number of days/nights suggested we stay?
To avoid the extreme, don’t go may - August. To avoid crowds, don’t go on holidays. A trip to California would be very exhausting for everyone. Make sure kids are prepared to walk in the sun all day. Don’t try to marathon through all 6 parks in one vacation. You’ll need a car in Orlando regardless so distance is not much of a factor. If you stay on property, you can take buses from park to park
If you go to Disneyland, there's a Courtyard within walking distance that has a nice water park and every room has 2 Queens and a set of bunk beds. It's category 5 or 6 I think. Well worth it.
Would also recommend Disney or Swan. You’ll get access to Magic Hours which is early entry for an hour at certain parks (assuming you can get your kids up and ready). Most important thing is to get your tickets in advance so you can get fast passes and avoid long lines at most popular attractions. If you’re at a Disney resort, I think you can do 60 Days. Otherwise, 30 Days. I went last weekend and the new Pandora flight of passage ride had an average 2-3 hour wait if you didn’t have fast pass. Frozen ride at Epcot was was 1.5-2 hours. You will hate your life waiting in line for those
Also how old are your kids?
I'd recommend as A3, go all-in with park hopper tickets and stay on property with the meal plan, keep your hotel points for something else. Once booked, reserve all of your evening meals at epcot ASAP (they get booked up quickly). I usually rent a car too, but, you can make use of shuttles if you are okay with that sort of thing. We usually do a park in the AM, back to the resort for lunch / pool and then park different park in the afternoon followed by dinner at epcot (around 7), watch the fireworks and then head back.
