Trying to think of a gift to get my 2 staff for the holidays. Nothing crazy just want to boost morale. Any ideas? Something you received in the past that you enjoyed? Thanks in advance!

Wine/beer/liquor would be easy and can have a personal touch if you know what kind of stuff they like already

likehelpful

Wow some of these responses aren’t so uplifting. If I got a gift from anybody I work with I’d be appreciative and happy they thought enough of me to do so. I know I enjoy work more when I know the person I work with genuinely appreciates me. Maybe I am just lucky and have a great group I get to work with. Happy holidays y’all. I think if you know what they like outside of work, a gift geared toward that would be great and I would hope, appreciated.

Yeah it’s exactly D1s point. You don’t want to insult someone when you were trying to say thanks

If you know them get them a snack basket with their favorite snacks/drinks (alcoholic or non alcoholic). A gift card to their favorite restaurant. Don't automatically assume starbucks...I had an admin who vehemently hated starbucks

like

No, the key is noticing what they already like and treating them.

Money

No, seems immature to let it bother you that much. How do you cope with real bad news?

Wine

I just ordered gloves, fuzzy sock/slippers, hand & foot warmers, cocoa, cute mugs, cookies & mini marshmallows & built little gift boxes to send out, I did 45 for right around 60 per, local shipping included.

A raise

I gave my teams boxes with homemade sugar cookies, a tube of icing and some sprinkles so they could decorate them with their families. Earlier in the pandemic I also sent boxes with yellow snacks & a sticker with a Trophy that said "didn't quit my job" to brighten their day.
