Partner Interview (6th interview).
Good or Bad?
My referral had interviews w/ (1)
recruiter, (1) SM, then the series of
(3) 1:1's w/(1) MD and (2) SM's.
The recruiter said he will now have
an interview in Jan. w/ the PPMD.
He interviewed for a M role in
consulting for customer marketing.

He does have a wide skill set and the
recruiter said it was all positive
feedback, just have to find out
where to put him (on the team he
interviewed for or another he is
qualified for).Deloitte
Hi Fishes, I am bit confused to pick the role in KPMG lighthouse as Sr Cloud Data architect or Saama technology as a Project lead. Money wise it is not a big difference. In KPMG I will work with partner where as in saama I will work with project/program manager. Please suggest your opinion. Saama KPMG KPMG India

As a recruiter myself, both of the answers here are great examples. Sometimes we have lots of other duties to get to and forget to follow up or quite of other things may happen in between. It happens to me and many others. Great thing is that you followed up and got a second interview. Don’t sweat it, it’s a good sign you’re moving forward. Good luck, hope you get the position!
It’s all good. Don’t overthink it. Sometimes people go on vacation, sometimes they have other hiring priorities, sometimes they honestly forget to follow up, sometimes the person the originally had in mind didn’t work out. Good thing is there are points for second place in the job market. Not games, just reality. Be excited about the interview and go get it! Cheers!
I don’t think you’re being a fool, but the approach could have been different. Instead of following up with the assumption of prospective employer deciding not to move forward, you could have rephrased along the lines of “hi - I’m reaching out since it’s been two weeks after the initial interview and wanted to follow-up with next steps with expected timeline of entire end-to-end process.”
You’ve got a second interview lined up, take that as a Win. Continue to woo them and prep for the interview to stay sharp and show that you may provide value. Good luck !
Also another tip: leave feelings and emotions off the table when doing interviews/business. There are too many politics / layers in corporate so have a nonreactive game face. Nothing is/should be personal
Oooh that’s great one! I’ve had my experience as well and I’ve learned through experience.

2 weeks is normal. Ive been in positions where ive waited a month or more to get a next round and still gotten the job in the end patience pays off. Dont appear to be desprite
Following up shows interest. There is a difference between showing interest and sounding desperate. Sometimes they even play the game to see if you follow-up. Don't over think it.
