What would be a typical salary for a junior in house counsel role (3 yoe) at a publicly traded company in a secondary market (think Austin, Tampa, Charlotte)? My BRO has an offer from ATOS as a fresher. they've mentioned in the offer letter that there'll be training period of 24 months(reframed version of bond) and also they've mentioned that there'll be penalty of 70k if he wants to leave before this period. Is it compulsory to pay this penalty? Or is there any way we can avoid this, he wants to leave in case he gets a good job offer from other company. Current CTC is only 3.0 LPA and joining location is very far from home.
