It took me 9 months, it's EY normal to be slow and non-communicative during this process.
EY hired me but forgot to file for h1b until after my start date. HR pinged me asking why I’m not at the training. I had to CC recruiting team and immigration and tell them (HR) that immigration hasn’t filed my visa yet. What a night mare

I got a response from an internal contact. They said that the HR is currently working on approving the business case. Any idea what could be the business case that they are working on? Would they interview people if there was no business case open to hire an individual?
Yes, they would. Roles are pretty general and they post and interview on going based on annual targets. Business case has to be created for candidate based on business at the time of hire and immediate business prospects. Group utilization and current metrics, candidates impact on those metrics.
