If you think you’re going to jump from Manager @ KPMG -> VP in industry, we need to have a heart-to-heart
Makes sense....In the states, most folks graduate from college at age 22-23 and it would take 5 years to be promoted to manager at Big4.
Yea op the title means jack shit in industry, anybody can make mgr or sen mgr if they truly want, mostly tenure based unless you’re a true dip shit, no guarantee in the outside game
What would you do
Make manager then switch. Your income will grow much quicker once you make manager and then make a couple of strategic moves.
Okay thank you for the advice !
Lol
Manager title and VP title are al relative. If your skills and experience warrant the title you shouldn’t have any problem. If you’re qualified for a VP role while a SA then apply. They’re not going to decide to hire you or not hire you into a role just because of a title in a completely different organization.
