"I only make 450k / year is that good?" - Something OP would say

like

Yes, that's good credit - but credit is one of many many factors in a mortgage approval process

like

Good enough

Debt to income is going to be the largest factor in a decision.

like

Shut up OP

like

It's pretty much credit score and debt to income ratio, if both of those are good you're golden

I'm interested in this "lots of wine" idea. @Acn1 care to elaborate?

I had a similar credit rating, but both me and my SO applied for the loan together and have good credit rating. We got the loan at 3.89% , we also took the first time home owner benefit and didn't do the 20% down payment. Approach a major bank right now and check how much loan are you pre-approved for.

like

"What does high score mean? Did I break it?"

like

That's a good rating. What's the interest rate you are being offered?

like

How much do you want to pay per month?

like

Whatever that number is, make sure it includes escrow, home repairs, more utility costs for a bigger space than an apartment, plus lots of wine. Don't just factor in the mortgage/debt on the house.

like

A1 - I care to imbibe

If you were really trying to find an answer for this type of question use google

like

Careful how much you are preapproved for. That's literally the top of what the bank thinks you can afford, which is frequently more than you can actually afford because the bank only looks at mortgage. If they pre-approve you for, say, a 500k loan, take a look at what that means for your monthly payment. And understand the terms of that quote (fixed interest rate? Number of years, down payment required, etc.).

Keep your 2000 amount in mind when you start to look at houses and get a feel for what the monthly payment would be for the houses you like.

My father took a home loan, and the same home is kept as mortgage.
I'm paying arround 22k emi for the same but unable to exempt tax as the loan is on my father's name.

I googled a lot how to transfer it but neither gift deed nor sale deed would work as the property is on mortgage that's under bank's ownership (until loan is fulfilled).
Tax is also getting deducted, I'm paying hefty emis.
What can I do?
Please advise 🙂

Why would you ever want to rollover your 401K into an IRA? It seems like doing so would essentially prevent you from successfully being able to do a IRA to Backdoor Roth IRA conversion due to the pro-rata rule. Am I missing something? Wouldn’t you always want to just rollover your old 401Ks to your new 401K?

While filling itr do I have to disclose each trade or just the net profit?

Curious to know how much your student loans were when you graduated from your program, how much you’ve paid off so far, and your age. If you have any varying factors too, like kids, income range, etc. Just trying to see if I’m on track or slacking in life. I am 34 yo, i graduated with 95k in student loans, i currently have 85k left and i make 85k in come. I’m also a single mom with two kids. Just praying for 100% student loans forgiveness. Wishful thinking???
