Looking for advice: when leaving the big4, is it better to cash out your vacation balance or take all your vacation if it means you could leave the day of the performance bonus payout? Suggestions on what would be better in terms of monetary benefit? My vacation balance is full (176 hours) and my bonus would be approximately be $5000 since I was promoted… this would be after busy season FYI

Question for folks with second homes: Considering buying a vacation home but would be primarily for family use. We currently have a primary residence with a mortgage balance of ~640K, so my understanding is I could only deduct the mortgage interest on 110K of the second mortgage to stay under the 750K cap. If I were to buy the second home through an LLC, would that allow me to exceed that 750K since the expenses of the second home would be pass through expenses/income?

I received a verbal offer for a VP position at CCB line of business at JPMC in NYC two weeks ago. The recruiter asked for salary expectations but there was no number set. It’s been two weeks since and complete radio silence. I sent an email to a hiring manager a week ago but received no reply. It’s August so people could be on vacation but this is really strange.
