Wanted to ask people’s thoughts on retention bonus as part of the offer with any of the big 4? I will get it after a year of working there. Has people ever heard or experienced issues where bc you get a retention bonus, your annual bonus/raise will be less than normal? I’m debating if it’s worth considering a sign on instead of retention. Let me know your thoughts.

FYI I’m going into KPMG and not currently in the company yet. This retention bonus is to prevent me from entering and leaving.
