There will be more brands hiring dedicated community managers. It's becoming more and more common for companies to have a social media team, and I think that trend will continue with community management.
More platforms emerge that are designed specifically for community management. These platforms will make it easier for community managers to connect with their members and to track the effectiveness of their efforts.
I think we'll see more communities using bots and chatbots to help manage conversation and keep things organized. Additionally, I think we'll see more communities using artificial intelligence and machine learning to help automate moderation and analysis of data.
One thing that community managers will need to increasingly focus on in the future is employee retention. With the rise of social media, employees are able to easily share their thoughts and experiences with their friends and followers. If they have a bad experience with your company, it can quickly spread online and damage your brand. To keep your employees happy and engaged, you'll need to create a positive culture and offer them plenty of opportunities for development and growth.
