Anyone know the raise amounts for BCG yet?
Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

Shouldn’t the manager be answering why you’re over budget? That’s their job to run the budget
Ma agers are tied to multiple RFPs, projects at same time. Let them use it now and for future, align with him on the forecast a week/month in advance.
Don't burn bridges over a week's chargeability.
Were they in the forecast? Did you have the conversation about taking their hours before they started working on another client?
When he said run this work what did you think it meant if not meeting with the client and reviewing deliverables ?
This can go both ways. I run multiple projects and will also give my hours away to get my teams more help. If his hours weren’t budgeted then okay. Maybe that’s something. I doubt it wasn’t budgeted because that’s still his ass. If they were and you’re just feeling some kind of way about it - get over it. Otherwise you would never be on any of those other projects he’s working on, that’s for sure. Help each other out. Makes this job a lot easier and more fun.
You are in Cognizant where an employee is generally not shared across the projects. An M level manager will certainly have to be 100% on a billable project. That said, if he was working on other projects/RFPs then rest assured that the director approved it. They both trusted you to lead the project.
Your best way is to explain planned Vs actual resource load to everyone who is seeking an answer. As a senior associate, your job might not be P&L. Just check it again.
Isn’t this what every consulting project is like? As a developer I’ll occasionally see hour allocations on my project. I’ll see 4 or 5 devs charging a legitimate 40 per week along with a PM and then 5-10 other people, half of whom I have no idea who they are, charging part time hours.
If Manager billed the estimated hours in the plan and you billed more hours than planned because you were doing his work then that is a problem for you. Was there some other way the project went over budget?
