That's such a cool concept! I might steal the idea for my team because we're a team of 25 and that should be easy to do. However, yes. People are mean. The best thing to do is let them live their lives in the hateful ways they need to... one day they'll realize there was no pint to it at all.

I love that. I worked in a sandwich shop when I was in college and we did the same thing. It exposed me to a bunch of music I’d have never heard otherwise. Screw people for judging.
When I was a teenager, I worked for a mom & pop restaurant. They played twangy country music that eventually I learned to like. I pretty much like all music... even if I don't like the words being used, I still like a good beat.
Love the idea, must be a close knit team! I imagine I would find that super distracting myself listening to new music trying to work
If I was in your office and overheard that, I would choose an eclectic mix of obscure death metal, internet meme music witch house, and maybe some random Eurovision finalist playlist from 20 years ago solely to stick it to that mean person.
And I would encourage other people who don't like bullies to do the same thing. Make it a game to come up with the most obscure or unholy playlist (and maybe introduce one another to some cool tunes and bond with randoms over a shared love of a niche band)!
Think about it: it would be a team effort reaping positive collective benefits. Either the hater is going to challenge his thinking about "who likes weird music" and stereotypes, and become a little less judgy, or he's going to get so bothered by the "weird" music that he takes LOTS of days off and the rest of the office will be free of his mean spirited presence.
