Food for thought this a Friday. Quiet quitting has been trending for the last few weeks. This is problematic in two ways. A) Doesn’t actually identify the root cause for burnout (I.e abuse at work or poor company culture B) Completely dismisses a whole demographic of people unable to do the bare minimum without facing penalty. Any other thoughts? https://www.theroot.com/why-is-quiet-quitting-a-thing-for-white-people-but-n-1849407594/amp

I guess on the day of employees wife and mother birthday theye should be given leave with a bouquet of flowers and cake. Believe me it's the best step to take forward.

Survey your population and let them tell you what motivates them. Who cares what other organizations find success with if it does not appeal to your people?
Agree with surveying employees to see what kinds of initiatives they'd actually be interested in. Our most popular has easily been Summer Fridays, where we allow employees to leave at noon. The timing obviously isn't right for you all to do something similar (assuming you'd be able to), but if you think management might be willing to sign off on it, it'd be worth making note of to revisit next year.
The company I work for buys lunch for the office every day. Different restaurants - they pass a menu around. Such a nice perk.
