We’ve started trying and it’s been hard to stay optimistic about the future of my career if I decide to become a mom. We won’t have much help. How do you manage when you have to travel for shoots/work? Especially longer ones that require you to be gone weeks at a time? Is it inevitable that you have to pass on opportunities? How do you handle agency demands (especially those in the creative field)? I go back and forth as to whether or not motherhood is meant for me/if I’m able to handle it.

For what it’s worth being a mom has helped me enormously in my career. I have two kids and I feel like it has only taken off since they were born. Being a mom just makes you an incredible multi tasker and leaving for shoots here and there (as long as you have a supportive and trustworthy partner) is like a little vacation.

Curiosity question - I’m a naturally very chatty senior and I’ve noticed that the staff 1s who are starting remotely and living at their parents’ home (which makes a ton of sense with the remote working) that I’ve been working with seem to want to chat about both semi related work stuff and non work stuff a fair amount. If you’re a staff living at home, do you enjoy having seniors who will chat with you about random things or would you rather just get your work done and log off?

I'm not necessarily unhappy with the firm I'm at, but have started looking into in house opportunities, as I've seen some interesting openings. I understand this will likely come with a pay cut (perhaps in exchange for a better work/life balance....tbd), but does anyone have any thoughts on other considerations/questions I should be thinking about/asking? Thank you in advance!

Married to a man who raised kids as a single dad and did lots of good things. He’s now retired and his hostility is killing me. We had nice ($$$$$) dinner last night and thought maybe we will finally connect. Well on his way to restroom a group was having pic taken in lobby and blocked him. Ruined the night. Angry grouchy jerk. And it’s always directed at me. It’s daily. Very sad and lonely. I bring it up and he belittles me. Traveling limited my exposure and was ok. Now I can’t handle

Anyone can share experience working industry for SOX/IA roles? Is there work life balance, good pay, etc.?

Anyone out there who left their previous job for a new one have any advice or life experience to share? I’ve been thinking about it for months but currently feel comfortable in my job/the products I work on. I’d say I have a great work/life balance but I do know that I could be making 20-30% more and have better benefits if I left. I also feel a bit stagnant in my job but the job security has kept me put. Would love to hear if leaving a comfortable job for more money is always worth it.

Been having trouble moving on since girlfriend ended relationship 3 weeks ago after 2+ years of dating. Before ending it she came over 3 weeks prior to basically give me a chance to work things out and we had a good discussion but then I went back into our routine and didn’t really fight for it or have serious follow up convos that we needed. Now I just have so many regrets that I let her go. I know we still love each other and left on “good” terms but can’t forgive myself for my lack of action.

Question for the married 🐠- Have you ever gone to couples therapy? If so, how did it work out for you? Did it help and do you now live your life happily ever after? Or did it just delay the inevitable and you are no longer in a relationship with your significant other? I’ve seen so many people go to therapy only to end up breaking up shortly afterwards and dropping some serious $$$

If you are on notice period and not doing work properly or on time then what can be the consequence ?
They cant put me on performance defaulters as I voluntarily resigned and also got good feedback from client.
The reason I resigned was the sh^^head manager and project.
He said I would be released from project soon and then on bench but after resigning he is saying you have to serve the NP n we cant release early.
This is only option left to get released from this sh^t place

So… two months ago I started a gig as a CD. Good agency. Very talented people. Pretty quickly I realized that my new job is kinda about keeping up with incoming emails/teams messages. I can’t handle it. For the last month I have been sleeping in, getting out of bed after 11am, like I prefer. Those notifications start coming at around 8am and all I do is press those suggested replies on teams, not even half awake, pretty much still dreaming, and it works. I’m getting lots of good feedback.

Hi Fishers,

What is the best time of the year to be in the notice period?

I mean what is the time of the year where requirements in most of the companies are at pick?

Like in Dec and March you will see less requirement due to Christmas and financial year ending. Similar what is the best period?

Because in my previous switch, 15 days were wasted due to Christmas and in March lot of requirements went on hold due to financial year ending.

Thanks

Anyone wants to get referred in TCS.. ?? Happy to help.. DM me
