Hi guys, Now VMware is offering me a 35% percent hike of what I am earning at DellEmc. I just completed one year at DellEmc. Total 2.7YOE But I don't like to go out of Dell, due to some personal commitments I am planning to switch.
Is it a good time to switch?
Can I talk with my manager ?
Are they able to hike the salary of what VMware is offering? Please suggest me.

12%, 11%, and 9% increases to total comp over last 3 years. Promoted last year.l
Amazing! Congrats to you!

3.3 every year. Better than a lot it seems…
That’s good! Still better than most of us but still frustrating with inflation I’m sure
0% this year, 0% last year, and 0% the year before that! Additionally, lower bonuses year after year over the 3 years I’ve been here.
I justify it because I took an 80%+ increase to job hop, so that big increase has placated me. I also take comfort in knowing that everyone in my dept is at the same salary, so no one else got a raise either.
Well at least it’s the same across the board and that’s great you started off strong!

I went back and checked the last three years, it was 3%, 2.8%, and 3.3%. It doesn’t even keep up with inflation, no wonder it feels like my disposable income is shrinking lol
Exactly—I’d feel different if inflation was shrinking
