My side consulting biz... Where I can write everything off 😉

like

I use everything. I start working from bed. Then move to the kitchen to make lunch. And then spend the rest of the day in the living room working.

like

Lol! Market size it! If you work 2hrs from home every day mon-thurs + every Friday, then you can write off pretty much 2 days per week

Anything for a home office/ WFH. Even part of your rent!

like

You calculate the % of your apartment that you use for work * monthly rent

like

So if I work from home on Fridays I can write off 4 days of rent a month?

like

Yes but I think only if you're using your entire apartment. Let's say you just use one room, which is an office = 1/4 of your apartment space, then you can write off that space

like

Ha! My accountant is going to hate me. Is there some sort of documentation of sorts I need to provide?

Daycare for my kids.

Pwc1-How do you work in your rent?

Or how would I add in late nights after I've left the office working from home after

(That sentence wasn't English lol. Haven't had my coffee yet. Sorry! Don't judge! )

I have an MSN with a focus in informatics. Recently got my board certification. 3.5 years experience as a nurse. 8 years total in healthcare. Becoming very frustrated with my organization and the slowness of our analysts in getting anything resolved. Feeling like I’m at a dead end and thinking about switching routes entirely. Just wanting others to share salary and location and maybe give me a little hope that you have a better team where you’re at that actually get things accomplished.

Recommendations for firms to look into in South FL? I'm in Ft. Lauderdale but am open to Boca or Miami. I'm a first year associate in ID (coverage issues) but really would prefer transactional work. More importantly though, I'm looking for companies who pay relatively well (doesn't necessarily have to be market), are open to remote/hybrid work, aren't sweatshops. I'd settle for insurance work if theres good WLB & $$$ lol

Hi, I am a PhD student and I have recently started preparing for consulting. I have gone through basics of framework and have watched few YouTube videos. I am at the point where I am seeing diminishing returns by studying more books. Anyone willing to help or are there people in the same boat? Would love to connect with potential study/case buddies! So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot.
