Jim Garrity’s “10,000 Depositions Later” book and podcasts
I find asking my coworkers, they usually have great resources or recommendations! Additionally if you have access to Lexis they have a bunch of practice guides by state/topic and if you’re writing a brief they have an AI tool (brief analysis) you can upload your writing to and it will suggest case law or relevant material that could help you if you’ve missed something

Honestly it’s been the school of hard knocks. Just working with others, bouncing ideas off of them, having them read depo transcripts and asking for feedback, getting feedback on motions, etc.
For sure! I work at a small boutique firm and am the only novice attorney. Soaking up the others’ learned knowledge is priceless. That said, I was surprised to have learned over the last year that the attorneys I work with have just done the same playbook (not necessarily in a bad way) for decades. Some of the stuff I’ve picked up in these books, I’ve brought to the firm and their minds have been blown, lol. Utilizing little known rules, tips for organization, more efficient research… there’s so much to pick up that I’m not exposed to unless I seek it out
