small firm (4 attorneys; 2 paralegals), mostly flat fee work (trusts and estates), suburbs of HCOL city. Paralegal rates $200-$250, attorney rates $300-$600.
Small firm in the suburbs of a big city, we mostly do flat rate work but when we bill: admin $65, paralegals and law clerks $110, senior paralegals $175, associate attorneys $250, partners $300
It’s on par with our referral sources!
I’m in a 250k-300k person market with a tiny foothold in a big national industry sector. I get $200/hr for normal people and $175/hr for insurance companies. My paralegal doesn’t charge. I think my rates are competitive and my income is, except for the people working directly in the national industry sector, great. Like top 1-2% in my relatively poor, blue collar region.
It’s all relative, right?
Anyone else?
