What does entry level product manager salary look like? Looking to leave consulting after 2 YOE and wondering what u should be targeting?

I have a bachelors and masters degree in Electrical Engineering. I have passed the FE & PE exams, I am an EIT, and I have a year of experience outside of school. Three internships as an engineer while I was in school.

Reclass can take 2 - 6 months to process. Meanwhile, I am interviewing for industry job. If I get an industry job, what do I do if my reclass isn’t processed yet? What do you guys think of a Sales Strategy Manager at a Series D AI software company valued at $800M (top investors, well funded, 100%+YoY growth, large market).

I’m 25M 3.5 YOE and don’t know if I want to be in “Sales”. I’ll be the only person in the company with a “strategy” title, and would hopefully parlay it into a Corp Dev // Chief of Staff role down the line.

Thoughts on the role, trajectory, and potential comp?

Just over a week since my final round cultural fit interview (where the EVP said I’d be a great fit) and the recruiter said the team needs more time for decisions (hiring multiple people)…is this a reject?

Had ~7 interviews and the last few all ended with them saying I’d be a great addition to the team.

3 YOE w/ non MBA STEM masters + deep knowledge in a specific industry (w/ publications, etc). I have had recruiters and headhunters reaching out for everything from:
- FAANG BA (generalist)
- VC associate (generalist)
- director level roles at startups/ digital arms of F500 companies
- data scientist roles at hedge funds and F100 companies

What should an exit with this level of experience look like? I'm a bit surprised at the wide range of options and roles - some seem to be a bit of a stretch.

How accurate are your instincts about interview outcome after discussion with hiring manager?
Is it same or different in case of face to face and telephonic interviews?
How do you gauge it?
