In most groups, 3 years as an associate is normal.
PwC is one of the only firms that has normalized 3 years to Senior. (At least during the years I was there). Having had other B4 experience, I thought it odd. I assume it’s still like that?
But given all this - I wouldn’t sweat it.
Also - congrats!

Doesn’t mean anything. You get promoted when you’re ready. Generally the associates that I’ve worked with aren’t ready for senior after two years and those that do get early promoted before they were ready struggle as a senior.
Have you spoken to your coach and RL about your goals? Were you doing acting work as a senior before CRT? Promoted to senior after 2 years is early promotion in most groups at PwC, so if your RL wasn’t aware that you were going for senior then it might have to wait until next CRT
Yeah 2 years is considered early although not uncommon, but 3 years is expected.
Just that you’re an experienced associate. Did you put yourself up for early promotion? What feedback have you gotten from your coach and RL?
There are a good amount of tax groups that use two years as standard promotion to senior, but otherwise it’s 3 years for most of the firm.
PwC is the only firm that does 3 years to senior and it’s weird, yes.
That being said—means you’re fine.
