Pretty sure you keep the phone and number if you leave in your own terms, not sure about layoffs etc

You own your phone. If you want to keep your phone number you have to move it to a personal plan or port it to another carrier with a personal plan within a certain timeframe.

I kept mine (ex pwc)

Hi I was interviewed by Capgemini in December 2021 and surprisingly they called in February 2022 for second round.

1. When can i expect call from hr?
2. I was thinking it is not genuine as they did not had clarity for which they were interviewing me. However in both round people who interviewed had email id with domain of Capgemini.

Did it happened with anybody else?

Please guide.
Thanks

Hi All,

I'm searching for job with WFH 🏠. I have Java microservices experience of 5 yrs. Also the notice period is 3 months.

But I'm not able to find much opportunities. Please let me know if you know any companies or refer me in.

Thank you in advance!

I’ve doing this for a good number of years. I think I depleted almost completely my interest in this business. When I’m out of the office or during the weekends I get into a “leave me alone state” and don’t want to know anything about the office. I actually just want to get in the agency, do the best I can within the time I have available, and get out. In a business where “the most committed wins” this is not an ideal mindset, but I’m done. Anyone else experiencing something similar?

I deeply miss my ex. The breakup was initiated by me 5 years ago because I was scared to commit. Since then, I’ve gotten married and have a daughter. I’m so embarrassed to admit it but I think about my ex everyday. I am so sad that I walked away from him. Life is ok now - I’m thankful for my family but my heart hurts. How do I move on?

If one were to write some sort of essay/op-ed about public accounting and all of its “issues”… how would one go about doing that? How would you all go about something like this? Or would you, even?

My investing strategy is just to DCA into an S&P 500 index fund and keep buying and holding. If I understand correctly, the sole disadvantage this has compared to a tax sheltered retirement account is that the quarterly dividends will be taxed? But even so, they’ll be taxed at a lower qualified dividend rate since I’m automatically reinvesting those dividends.

I applied to a credit card with Chase a few months ago and within 7 days I was told it was rejected and they would send a letter explaining why.

Chase has recently calling to say it expired (they said it wasn’t rejected but I was told on the recorded line that it was).

Isn’t this against the law (fair credit reporting act)?. I’m not a lawyer so I’d love to hear your thoughts

So I get that in a corporate set up, you are supposed to be sharp and witty and think on your feet. Trouble is, I am extremely slow with comebacks. (Think Ross in Friends/Amy in B99) at the crunch moment, I generally end up not being able to give a good roast back. Unfortunately the best of them come to me like a few hours later (dinner/shower/TV) and I am left ruing and amazing opportunity to have gotten one back. I am awful at jibes and roasts.

Anyone else suffer from this?
