I recently started GC with EY law. I haven’t seen any case process since late august and there are a few items past due. The lawyers are not responding to my emails, does anyone know how to get a better sense of case progress and possibly to get the lawyers to speed up the process? Thanks! EY

It has been 2+ weeks since I completed the Interview & Psychometric Assessment rounds with Macquarie Group , but yet to hear anything from them. I also followed up with HR but with no response. For the record, the interview went well. Any idea if they usually take this amount of time to get back? If I got rejected, why not communicate directly?

Policies and practices that create disparate outcomes based on race
In plain language, systematic racism means when you can look up and down the company history, and noticed that no people of color are able to reach above a certain position a certain pay grade a certain hierarchy of respect that’s a systematic problem
It’s a catch all for “we’re not really sure what it is.”
Ok
A kind of racism that is so engrained in how things operate that proving it exists isn’t difficult, upending it is.
Plain language?
I think it kind of comes down to the difference between seeing you aren't racist versus being anti-racist.
We think we aren't racist? The thing is, even if we aren't actively racist many of us passively benefit from racist systems. We might not have chosen them or have been alive to create them. But we benefit nonetheless. The first step is to acknowledge that.
Then realistically investigate what is involved in being anti-racist, in looking at the different systems and seeing what needs to be done.
Most people would tell you they don't want to be racist but they also don't want to feel uncomfortable, be inconvenienced, or experience change.
I went through a whole process when getting a job. Interview process on-boarding process all done online. First day I turned up for work. I was told that I was no longer needed. Come to find out they had done that to multiple black jobseekers.
Did they not see what you looked like during the interview. You should have sued.
Policies and laws that intentionally or unintentionally oppress people of color
It’s the whole functioning of a government, company, society as a whole. You instantly think of it when you think of sexism, so I really don’t understand why you need a prefix when it comes to race!!!!
Policies and practices that are designed to inherently discriminate based on race.
