What happened to WORK (slack)?

Weird idea. Is there a way we could set up like a virtual work room? Like one where we're logged onto something like skype/messenger/Google meet/zoom/ZooRoom/Discord or something where we can all be working at night time, but at least not alone. It would mostly be silent, but misery loves company? I legit hate working alone for the whole day and then into the evening too.

Heads up. The Bar just emailed out invitations for two free online CLEs in the first week of may. I've been doing these Zoom courses as they are offered and it's going to significantly reduce my end of the year stress.

Do I have my kid go to universal pre-K where he is in class ONE time a week and then Zoom (he is hyper active and Zoom learning is difficult for everyone) or cough up $28,000 for private school where he goes 5 days a week? Anyone else in NYC conflicted on where to send their kids?

Happy Wednesday! I am trying to plan with our AP and climate lead on what we can do in distance learning as a school wide event. I suggested we still host our multicultural club assemblies on zoom for the school. Anyone have experience with zoom assemblies to promote a positive climate in DL? Thanks!

I love teaching art but am having to teach remotely to 1150 kids, k - 5. Have about 54 amazing elementary art teachers in my district that share SO much! I could retire (34 yrs), but just don’t want to because I love what I do! Feeling like my students aren’t getting what they should because I am struggling with Zoom, Microsoft, safe YouTube, bitmoji, embedding, downloads, editing, etc. Anyone else feeling this way?

Anyone have any recommendations in new project management software? Smart sheet is not doing it for us. Currently demoing basecamp, Asana and JIRA. Also use Slack for comms.

How do you deal with a manager who always blame you for actions that the manager instructed me to do in the past? E.g. manager reviews client decks with you and instructs to just note a strict budget to report. After a week, manager rereads the same deck and blames me for not supporting the budget that was added per the manager’s request. We always have this situation, no matter how much I ask for clarity in any internal reviews. I even sent back the emails and slack chats as an attachment.

Need an opinion. I just finished week 2. I do an hour after school club at my district once a week on zoom and none of my own schools students participate. I received a very nasty and aggressive email from a parent making threats and hyperbolic accusations so I forwarded the email to the personnel at the district. Hi experts - could use advice on contributing to 401K. What’s the benefit of tax deferred investment if you plan on holding long term? My thought process is this: I’m earning 100K gross and by retirement years, I want to be able to withdraw at 200K level income. Wouldn’t that put me in a higher tax bracket than I am currently? we're living through an intergenerational transfer of wealth via public markets, during which retail and derivatives trading are both becoming more dominant in the public equity markets.

there is record unemployment. I'm not convinced the high gini index matters (income inequality), but when it does matter, it won't matter how much public equity you own.

I think with the banks plus 3 branches of governments in alignment post trump, we don't have to worry about a '20 or '07/8 style dip.

Been waiting for an entry point on Yi 111, Inc, today was the day. Bought 300 shares at 9.42...been beat down like a lot of Chinese stocks recently so def an opportunity here, projected to do over $1.5bn in sales by end of year and have $700M sitting in cash...will ride this one out (this is a small speculative play in overall portfolio)
