What happens if you quit and your firm paid for your cpa prep? Do I have to pay my firm back or do I not have an access to cpa prep course? I’m going to ask my firm before I quit but want to make sure I’m not expecting to spend 3k before I quit

Read your firm employee guides. I had to pay back a decent portion of my fees. Around $1500.

Ask hr. I didn’t have to pay because they only changed the requirements after my year

I'd probably just email HR and ask them. This will take up less of your time, since it seems like you are having difficulty finding the answer. This is a side note, but you should also look into any claw backs relating to your CPA bonus or any other bonus you might have received (signing bonus?). My firm gave me a CPA bonus, but I had to stay for 1 year to actually keep the bonus.

Yeap depends on the firm! For mine, I would have to pay 100% back if I quit in less than a year and 50% if I quit after a year but less than 2 years!

Big4 - N/A

My firm's policy is that you have to pay back but they never actually enforce it.

Serious question: do I *need* MBB on my resume to have good exit ops from consulting? I have an M7 MBA, but struggled to land interviews because I didn’t have big brands on my resume (confirmed by recruiters). I wouldn’t be surprised if most/all F100 and FAANG hired MBB only.
