I left IQVIA 2 years ago and it's still there. I fully assume it will be removed eventually. With a previous employer, it took them 5 years to remove it.
If i remember correctly, if you return to IQVIA your tenure for the vesting schedule will pick up where it left off. So if you think you might go back, probably worth keeping the 401k as is if you stand to gain a decent chunk of money if you return.
Oh good to know it takes time for it to be removed. I think your vested after 1 year for IQVIA so I should be good if I do leave. I was thinking about my previous company, PRA Health Sciences, where it takes 3 years i believe.
What about RSUs?
Companies retain your 401(k) for a set number of years by law in case you return. Depending on the state you live in, they’ll take it back at the end of that lock out period.
