Personally I think leaving the west coast for east coast life is a downgrade.....It's cold AF out here
Did it... moved from Austin to DC... learned significantly more about myself than anything else
Chicago, great balance of big city and not fake people. It's potentially the greatest city in the world.
I live in sunny SoCal but I'm over the fakeness... been watching a lot of movies set in NYC lately (ok yes I know I'm lame) and I'm thinking about an east coast city. Somewhere a little more fast paced and where I can meet friends who are more interested in me than their Instagram followers
What's wrong with your current life?
Where to where? I am in Ny thinking the same thing.
Yassss I'm hoping to do this next month. It's super intimidating and real easy to keep postponing. Don't let any lazy hold you back!
Do it
I moved and it was reinvigorating. Just takes a lot of energy to reestablish yourself.
Well those things are pervasive in any city. NYC is full of self promoters and insincere people.....Just have to find your way around it I guess
@OP I think every city has its +/- .... But I get wanting to shake things up. I just think you can do it by finding a new west coast city! Lol honestly I just envy you.
@acn2 South is slower-paced, no?
Moving to another big 4 and up to NY, OP. ACN1, all cities are full of those kinds of ppl. Just gotta know what they look like since there are more by sq ft in Manhattan.
SF or chicago
Chicago is cold af in winter and hot and humid in summer... agree on great city/people but the weather is impossible
SF has too many homeless people. There's so much poop everywhere on the streets even around the office district. Plus it smells terrible at night with all the pee. I say that living there now, it does not compare to NYC.
I moved NYC to Denver and it was the best decision of my life.
P2 where to?
@acn1 the weather is holding me back big time, lol. My wardrobe would not be prepared for snow.
OP maybe consider a city in the South? Atlanta is pretty dope, and people are nice but not as shallow
