With that being said I told her that I would complete my certificate by the summer around the time she would make partner. Working in disputes and valuation role but want to go into management consulting next year (post MBA role). You are important to the project, but never so important that you cannot leave the project or firm for better opportunities. Being in hero mode is good where you save the day, everyday - but in fact that is neither advisable for your progression nor a recommended practice for the firm. If you have been performing and have had decent social skills, you will not have burnt a bridge when you leave.

It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me. Desperately want to get into healthcare strategy consulting. 13 years of healthcare clinical experience including project work. MBA. But keep getting told by recruiters that I don't have enough experience to be a Consultant or Manager but that I have too much experience to enter in every level such as a Senior Associate.
