Hey, My interview is scheduled next week with exl for the post of data analyst (python & Tableau) . I just wants to know how many rounds are in the interview process. And what kind of questions will be asked..And i already told them that I'm expecting a 100% hike which is 7 lakhs/Annum. Was that too much? Any help would be appreciated ThanksEXL Service
Anyone from EY willing to refer me? Thanks!
Hi All, Today I've resigned and my LOD is 2 Sept. Can anyone please let me know for these 90 days salary would be credited only after FnF. Or June'22 salary will be credited as usual, however, July and September salary would be credited during FnF. Please confirm or suggest.
Regards,

I’m looking to get into this space as a manager and I have no experience. I do corporate tax compliance. Any insight would be helpful. Could we chat about this if you don’t mind? Or if anyone is seeing this and has input that would be helpful. Is this transition possible?
Yeah, that's a level that's difficult to change in. I can ask my firm, if you're interested. We have three departments, one business, one HNW, one mix. You seem like a good fit for a mix. We have a structure where we work on family groups (so everything related to a specific client, flowing from the business entities to trusts to individuals) instead of only return types. It's a solid way to keep working with what you know and start to learn how to do other types and then pivot.
I don’t remember exact numbers but it’s something like this (don’t remember bonuses either) -
2016 - A1 - $56K
2017 - A2 - $58K
2018 - S1 - $72K
2019- S2 - $94K
2020 - M1 - $101K
2021 - M2 - $130K
2022 - M3 - $160K
Location? Seems underpaid
2008: $56k
2009: $56k (Great Depression)
2010: $63k
2011: $72k
2012: $79k
2013: $115k + 20k bonus
2014 - 2017: $120k + 20k bonus average
2018: $148k
2019: $160k (partial year raise)
2020: $178k
2021: $215k
2014-2017 year held me back. Comp should be minimum 10% higher
Moving to industry wouldn’t necessarily have made your comp higher except to the extent you could be partner earlier. I’m on a really similar path except my industry time was later at a higher comp, and took a huge pay cut coming back to EY. (Also went VHCOL to MCOL).
2017 - 65k

2020 - 85k + 8k bonus

I move jobs a lot which helps with salary progression.
I specialize in building 0 to 1 products/businesses. So I do a lot of the initial strategy and validate the market and then help the company build an initial MVP.
Latest product was in the financial service space

$127k + 6% bonus for HNW tax team
reasonable? ☺️
The base salary sounds good. The variable income percentage should be a bit higher in my opinion.
Philly

Am I getting hosed ?
Yes
I got more when I asked for more. And yes you are getting hosed.
Our seniors in 1040’s/1041’s are $90-$115k plus bonus and amazing benefits. Fully remote during tax season. Managers are $140-160k plus bonus and benefits. We’re hiring (like everyone) if you’re interested in chatting.
Wealth management firm
2019 - $60K
2020 - $67K
2021- $87K + $3K bonus
*2022 - $95K + $40K bonus

It’s generally fine. Things certainly get busier as you near filing deadlines but nothing like your typical B4 crunch. You also get compensated well which definitely goes a long way.

100k comp as a senior in MCOL seems good to me. I didn't make 100k til manager and I am also MCOL (non B4)
