Does anyone have any insight into accounting roles at Amazon, particularly in the Arlington/DC area? An Amazon recruiter reached out about accounting roles, but the posts in this bowl are about Seattle. Trying to decide if the culture/wlb/pay is even worth looking into since it sounds like the interview process is intense. Base pay seemed pretty low in other posts, but they were a year old and for Seattle.

The paths exist but are long, competitive and arduous. That kind of income doesn’t come without sacrifices
Yup, biglaw is the best answer if you are just looking for 750k. Do well at a good law school and be able to cope with biglaw hours for a decade and you're set.
But the upside is limited... biglaw is good for the risk averse, but a lot of the other paths mentioned here are much more variable and could pay off huge.
You won't be getting a massive payday from your startup options or huge bonuses from your PE funds performance, but you also won't ever make "only" 250k because your fund shit the bed or your options expired worthless. Lawyers always get paid regardless of outcome.
The only mega rich lawyers are plaintiffs lawyers who got cuts off mega settlements (like the tobacco settlement)...the only biglaw people who might have private jet money are maybe a handful of true rainmakers/named partners.

Agree with others a business is the likely way to go. Simple franchise and simple business can get you there after a couple locations or just one location for some pricier options like a childcare center. I’m looking at these options as well and have also considered a car wash and 7-11.

A doctor is the most straightforward path. Even if you don’t specialize and do locums you can make a ton. I wish I had done this, honestly. You don’t have to be good at politics - you just have to not piss anyone off.
These questions are getting ridiculous. We get it. You’re “smart”, “hardworking”, and should make as much money as you think you’re entitled to.
