What I've learned about passing the CPA: 1) Study for at least a year. 2) Don't over-prepare. A week is enough, really. 3) Don't buy study materials. There are plenty of free resources out there. 4) Free resources are a waste of time and paid materials are your best bet at passing. 5) You can absolutely pass while studying and working and maintaining a family full time. 6) Kiss your kids goodbye, quit your job, and cloister yourself in seclusion until you pass.

Hello Fishes,
What kind of role does a Deputy Manager in the risk consulting service line perform. I am currently a senior consultant at EY India is it a similar kind of role?

Hi All, just sharing what on mind to vent it out from my system. Maybe with this I could gain some insights and inspiration.
I have been working as a data scientist since 2018 & have been the bread winner. I have neither been under a proper mentor nor with a team of peers from my field to help me out. I was alone and confused. I have never really got the chance to prove myself which makes me all the more depressed. I'm not sure what to do with my future, indecisive and low on confidence.

Please help me with making a clear decision. And i have 8+ YOE.

Hello there! I currently work in billing at a medical office. I got my Bachelors in Psychology a few years ago but I couldn’t find a position that seemed like a good option for me that was well paying and fulfilling. I tried working as a tech at an Applied Behavior Analysis clinic but it wasn’t a good fit. I’m hesitant to try case management or social work because I worry I won’t like it but I want to use my degree in Psychology. Does anyone have any ideas for me?

If anyone else is studying, let me know and maybe we can share study materials!

For those who have taken it, are there any cheaper or alternative study materials to any official guides you would recommend? I went this route with the PHR and SHRM-SCP and passed each on the both try, so I wanted to see if that method may be viable here. Any recommended order to take courses in?
