Going in house on the Marketing/Ad team. Or consulting is another great area - sales for marketing services/production services at companies- some focus on tech or healthcare, etc. specifically.
Tech customer success (🙋♂️)
Project management
Consulting is possible but easier with a strategy background
Depends on where you go.
Generally you manage a larger book of business - I've heard upwards of 100 clients but could be anywhere from the teens if your customers are bigger and need more attention. You deal with just your company's tech instead of their whole marketing strategy like in ad so things aren't as "urgent" and WLB is better.
Your focus is primarily retention and at some places there is emphasis on expansion (upsell) too.
There's no average day really but usually answer some questions thru email, maybe a call or two to either onboard new customers or review analytics, or even help them strategize. Think of ways to engage customers to keep a good pulse on retention. Help share feedback to improve the product. Dealing with bugs. Etc.
Hope this helps!
If you are really good & determined, you can make it on the client side. There have been lots of threads on FB that speak to the change in career direction that many people in agency account service decide to make.
Operations! I love it.
