Lateral link? Do you still have an assistant in an office to handle mailings? What about team building/office bonding? My firm's remote group has done virtual events like chocolate tasting for team bonding and just fun since we miss out on free lunches
Fully remote work is still available at many small and mid-sized law firms, especially those focused on transactional practice areas such as contract drafting, corporate law, finance, commercial real estate, and business formation. These fields typically require less in-person presence, making them more flexible for remote arrangements.
Some larger firms also offer hybrid or remote-first models, but full remote roles are most common in specialized or boutique transactional practices
That hybrid schedule seems like it's becoming standard. If fully remote work is important to someone, it helps to be in specialties that don't require a lot of meetings and/or staff work. Things like state and local tax, employee benefits, and copyright and trademark come to mind. If you get into a niche where the need for physical client meetings is greatly reduced that's probably half the battle.

Yes, looks like the hybrid model is the new norm
