Senior manager (nor do any consulting titles) doesn't carry over to faang.
Let me explain why - faang has levels. Everyone has heard of Google's levels 4-5-6.
What people don't hear about is our role / job family. The job family is what plays the biggest role on your comp.
Loosely the job family goes from technical to least technical. The highest paying job families are the most technical.
Back to your question.
If you go for a non technical role....say S&O / cloud sales & then you have a stronger chance at getting a level 5-6 offer.
If you go towards cloud pso, tech pm, product mgr, cloud project mgr - you will have to be much more technical and familiar with Google in order to get a level 5 offer (level 6 becomes much harder for those positions since you need to be a gcp / tech expert)
Hope that helps
