What options are there in government work for an auditor? And does working in a government position open the door to other positions later on? I know the stereotypes that working for the government means doing nothing and getting paid similarly but I’m curious as to whether or not it opens doors to other things. My dad works in medicine and he says they having federal work experience makes you a desirable candidate but I have my doubts as to whether it’s the same for audit/finance

What are the exit opportunities for digital consulting if product management recruiting doesnt go well?

Subject matter expert with my CPA. I’m completely fed up with the compliance aspect of public accounting Tax but don’t mind the technical side. Does it make sense to become an attorney to get out of compliance work and still do something related to specialty tax?

I work in a firm that is known for litigation defense. I’ve been developing my own plaintiffs practice as well. I am able to pay the bills with my hourly defense work, which gives me time to focus on a handful of high value PI case a year on contingency. I was recently negotiating a case and was told part of the reason the claims rep/OC was jerking me around was because they didn’t see me as a plaintiffs attorney. Is there any way to change this perception or does it just come over time?

I truly want to be recognized publicly on AdAge and such.. but I don’t seem to have a luck in being recognized as so. How do people do it? I’m 6 years into this industry and haven’t gotten a chance yet to be in such a recognized agency or team.
