Hello Mastercard employees. I have been trying to break into MC for long now.
I have 2 yrs workex post MBA. I have experience in data analysis and consulting. But I don't want to get into consulting anymore. I am looking for analytics roles. Anyone here would be able to DM and guide me on the available options at Mastercard?
Location: Gurgaon
I joined in Accenture as level 8. Prior to joining, I was apporached by a project, and they seemed to not convince with my lack of knowledge about the role hence they dropped me even after contacting couple of times. Now I have got call from another one and they also seem to be not fully sure because my last role was very different. My question is how difficult is it to get a project in Accenture? Will this interviews continue? Also, what are the chances of me getting a suitable role?
Got rejected from BCG final round :(

Who wants to get paid and refer me to Deloitte?
Better title or more money?

@OP, yeah these sort of salary games the firm plays are such a pain in MC. I'm glad I switched over to Strat, standardized salaries across the board and don't have to worry about this bullshit
A5 you are full of bull $hit. There is no way you are doing manager level work as an analyst. (Not even a senior analyst!!!) As a senior manager you sound like an over entitled Twit who needs to take a big whole slice of humble pie. Most analysts can barely take notes that are comprehensible.
It's not a negotiation anymore op, differentiator is in stock and bonus now, there is a set number for MC Mgr year 1
It should, at least for North America, few countries still in flux due to regulatory.
It was announced, with the performance achievement roll out.
See how they execute when the time comes.
In strategy we don't even have the discussion in the calls anymore though
120 - 140, depending on location
Thanks - @a1 that's what I thought. I came in at consultant as an experienced hire and negotiated poorly and am up for promotion and am concerned that I won't get "adjusted" to where I should be but rather just a 20% increase
A2 is right they are trying to standardize the base cohort by level industry practice and location. They're moving into it but it'll take a couple of years to fully standardized.
I played the negotiation game badly as well. I came in as an analyst, took a pay cut, and I've been doing manager level work ever since. I was recommended for promotion but I think I'll be in the same situation as OP with the 20% increase. Everyone that does what I do on my team makes $30k+ more.
Didn't even know SM got stock for free(?). Accenture is dope af.
@A2 wow I hadn't heard that! Was that announced or just internal knowledge? That will apply to outcomes we're all waiting to hear in the next few months?
Do Managers really receive stock?
A4 it's only for SM and above. heard in a town hall last week.
Honestly it hurts the campus recuits, undergrads MBA target schools, they'll get a higher starting base in a cohort but others will catch up eventually in a couple of years.
ACN4 some, performance based
Not a grant like comes with the SM and MD promos
Good to know A2
Not every year, can get as part of bonus every year, but one time grant with thevpromo
To answer the question regarding stock as a Senior Manager. If you are rated "sig above" then you get 18k in stock grants. The stock vests over a three year period. No one can explain what the new process is under performance achievement and whether there will even Ben ratings such as SA, A, CW, B
