TS/SCI is worth it.
I only have a BA from a state school, 8 YOE and currently making 130 as well. Stress free and could make more if I went to another company.
Left Deloitte last year.
I have sci but no full dcope
Also amazed at how little they are paying you. Even in a LCOL market, I would expect at least 150
I am going through capital one loop and would be considered for couple of engineering roles but I think TC would be around 160 minimum before bonus. I don't want to get into a new job and be salty about compensation already. I could build more skill set then hop. I would honestly be content if its 200k+ at this point. Am I overreaching? I think being in this hybrid role probably hurt me where I am almost jack all trades... thanks!
Subscribed, this is exactly where I’ll be in 7 years except with a CI poly.
Shocked at how little you're making. 180k should be minimum target, up to 250k+ if you can get into a Microsoft. Even Booz could get you to 180k as a non-supervisory Lead Associate on a cyber account. Should also look at AFS, which pays better than Booz.
I did do Microsoft but they require full scope. I am hesitant about it. I do hear there's backlog so I could join and learn a lot then either switch or leave if I have to do full scope?
And how long should I search before giving up maybe take sub 200k? 180k? I did read average job seeker takes 9 weeks but I feel opportunities may be less as I move further...
I’m regards to this post, what pays more, defense contracting, consulting, or FAANG?
