Can anyone explain the levels at Google? I’m a consultant with 1.5 years of consulting experience and 5 years of industry pre MBA experience. Spoke with someone at Google about analytical lead role that I think would be leveled at 4 or 5? Thoughts on applying vs waiting it out to get promoted to project leader in 6 months and making move then? Know for sure I want out of consulting in next year but not sure if it’s worth it to wait for better comp exit?

At Big4 consulting with a TS/SCI - CI poly and 4 YOE. Skills include BI analytics and intelligence analysis. Currently at 85K, working 40hr weeks but I really just want more money and would be willing to work 50-55 to get it.

Hey all, started my role as a recruiter at an agency recently and had my first placement! It was great until the candidate wants to renegotiate the base and benefits after the current company counter-offered when the candidate no longer sees the future. So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. I have practiced for five years and make $121k as an employee of a financial services company. As the only attorney, I oversee all statewide collections efforts, from demand letter to garnishment, with a case volume of nearly 7k new cases per year, of which the majority I end up litigating. I receive only a $1k bonus per year. Is my compensation fair? My last insurance defense gig was $75k.
