I don’t think there’s ONE, or extensively one type of job, same as there’s not ONE person or ONE type of ADHD. Some ADHD person thrive in a highly controlled and regulated environment. Many with ADHD want to be told what to do because it silence the noise and take away decision paralysis. Many other will thrive in highly creative environment such as advertising or cooking and their « organised chaos ». Finally, many will find peace at being their own boss or high ranked officers/executive because they can organise themselves as they see fit. It’s all a matter of what works for you.
I'm with SAD1. There are too many internal variables. But operationally tedious and has the regular mental puzzle works well for me.
I like being a people manager so I organize things my way. Agree with organized chaos. Also I’m really good with crunch timelines, crisis management, and being directorial - so any job that allows me to do that helps me thrive, as long as I have the flexibility to take the odd Monday off every 2-3 weeks because I killed myself working hard.
Tedium kills me - the moment things are in a rut, I tend to ask for newer projects within my scope
