I have given 3 rounds of interview for the position of SE- B8 , i.e. Lead SE. Now in salary discussion round i asked HR for a CTC between a range of 31-34L. But they told me max they can give is 29.5L. I still did not accepted the initial offer from HR, it is going again one more round for salary negotiation after HR confirms the bracket from Business. I know Natwest dont negotiate once you accepted the offer. What CTC can i expect from Natwest for Lead SE.

If the stock market were to tank, incl. all these ridiculous tech valuations, how do you guys think compensation packages will move in competitive fields such as IBD, consulting, big tech?

Based on current environments, I’ve two hypotheses:
1. Comp packages in competitive fields will continue strongly due to: a. less supply of top talent (great resignation), b. less willingness to work demanding jobs (push for wlb), and c. Rising living costs - inflation
2. Comp packages will get readjusted…

I'm a cashier. We just got a new manager, and she's making things really hard for us. She starts work at 4:30am and leaves around 2:30pm, but she still expects us to stay until 6pm and work on the weekends! She gives us really long shifts and doesn't give us much time for breaks. 2-3 : sometimes meetings, mostly begging people for billable work
3-4:30 - proposal work if I have it or more job hunting
5-9pm family time and dinner
10-3am - netflix, videogames, cry myself to sleep
