The PF deduction is a lot. Isn't there a way to lower this. Done orgs have 21,600 max deduction option also

It is a deloitte standard deduction and don’t think will have any exceptions. But in my experience with my first salary, the PF was deducted only once . Overall amount whatever is mentioned in the offer letter. Nothing else.

PF deduction will happen only once. You can claim the components without bill. They'll be taxable

Nope.. this is the only deduction

Looking to move to a state that will not mandate school vaccines for my kids. I need more research before deciding to administer it to my little ones. I am not looking for advice on vaccines, just wondering where to move. Somewhere with great public schools so my kids can learn and so I can continue teaching. Would love a state that has great benefits and pay for teachers.

Question about what to do next. I’ve maxed out everything—401k, HSA, IRA, backdoor Roth 401k. My bills are all paid. I’ll probably make about 16,500 more this year to do stuff with (ie money that isn’t going to taxes or insurance or anything). What should I do with it? Crypto? Set it on fire? Get a hair transplant?

Argued with another EA today who tried to tell me a Roth IRA is a waste, that a 401k is all that's necessary... Wouldn't accept that they are two different retirement options and equates to more money

After house and car purchase, my monthly cashflow is now only +$500 where it used to be $1,500. I have around $30,000 in savings, but can only save $500 a month (besides the 10% contribution into 401K). Is this a bad sign of my financial health? Im 30 and just purchased my first home and put down around $100,000 (20% downpayment). Salary + bonus is around $110k. Thank you!!

Obesity is a chronic disease not a choice and it should be treated as such. By both “body positivity” challengers who too often say obesity comes from laziness and lack of strong will and by obese people who also too often shield themselves stating “this is how I am, it is impossible to change it” when in fact they do not want to accept that fat is literally killing them. Thoughts?

Anyone else feel like they just can’t get by? My wife and I make about 155k combined and we are barely getting by with our mortgage and bills. We made a budget and everything seems to be necessary. Are prices of things going up that much? We barely eat out or spend lavishly.. Anyone else in the same predicament?
