UPDATE! There’s going to be a $12K sign-on bonus instead of $7K
$105K total comp my first year! Keep grinding peeps! It will get better in industry!!!
Audit
If bonus is effectively guaranteed then I wouldn’t get hung up on what base comp you’re leaving for. Not sure how solid the 120-125k is though as the future total comp. I would think outside of money you’d want to understand progression and development opportunities so you don’t find yourself “stuck” like some do when they go to industry as a young senior.
I was thinking the same thing! Glassdoor seems to prove their future comp numbers though so I am still somewhat optimistic. It’s a relatively flat structure so it sounds like I’d have the ability to touch a lot of things I wouldn’t normally.
The money is a no brainer. Houston PCS?
Yea I think I’ll like the role, it’s in one of the top two industries I would’ve wanted to get in. Sounds like they never work later than 6pm during month-end so that’s obviously a plus compared to several 20-hour days I’ve had to pull in public lol. I appreciate it, but I’m so checked out at PwC. It really just hit me like a brick wall this last month and I hate it, because I prided myself on being a top performer, but I just don’t have the motivation anymore.
Take it and run. I can’t imagine myself working 20 hrs per day with 78k base..
Haha it’s only been a handful of days during my two years (still more than I like lol) but it definitely wasn’t the norm.
Which kind of role is this ? I’m trying to find a good exit too !
Financial reporting analyst. Try looking at very large private companies - they tend to fly under the radar. Seems like they’re able, and willing, to pay more than an equivalent sized company that’s public since the public companies typically have name recognition
