I'm looking to find a job like the Forward Deployed Engineer role Palantir Technologies in the UK.
I have become hooked on finding a job that involves solving the kinds of problems they presented during their interviews. Although I got to the final round my performance anxiety got the better of me (I think I wanted the job a bit too much...). I will reapply after working in a similar company.
Is it "deep tech" / "data science" or "smart enterprise" that they're doing? Any advice welcome.
My final round with Deloitte for UK Tech Consulting Manager position soon. Strangely it’s not a PMD round as it usually is for other Big4/tech consulting firms.
1. Can anyone tell me if they’ve been through the whole process without speaking to PMD? (First round Sr Manager, second Case Interview by a manager and third again by a manager) 2. What is a typical salary to expect? I was asked in screening but kept it vague (e.g can discuss later bla bla). I was hoping 75-80 (ridiculous?)

Most I've had have been conversations, and not your traditional behavioral interview. Of course, they'd like to get your perspective about their business, so that sort of counts as a case(?) but not really. Also feel it's more of a mutual feel-out than an interview per se.
Typically 3-4? Ones I've had have been the guy currently in that role (moving elsewhere), his/her boss, some combo of C-suite folks and/or involved directors depending on criticality
Mostly content oriented / super technical.
Behavioral. I've never heard of a case interview for a senior role. I've had 5 interviews for VP levels roles in industry (not finance though) and all were behavioral, fit etc. they assume you're analytically strong.
@P1, makes sense. I hate case interviews anyway - stopped cracking cases a couple years ago and let the youngins give it a go at the beginning of a project these days
Typically how many rounds at this level? My first round is coming up but both interviews (half hour each) are with MDs
Yea, 3-5 has been my experience. My last (and the job I took) was CIO (who was the hiring manager), then two of his direct reports in a combined interview (these people are my peers now). Once they signed off, met with VP of HR and then CEO. As BCG1 said, it's really more of a two way conversation than a traditional behavioral interview. I found it much more relaxed than I was expecting. And you'll know pretty soon if you're a good fit.
